BRETT BLAKE

Brett Blake is a producer at Good Motorist, working across documentary and comedy with longtime creative collaborator Danny Abel. An Academy Award-nominated and Peabody Award-winning producer, he brings more than twenty years of experience to the company.

Brett was the line producer on Come See Me in the Good Light, which was nominated for the 2026 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, won a 2026 Peabody Award, was the Festival Favorite winner at Sundance 2025, and won Best Doc and Audience awards at six festivals. The film’s streaming rights were acquired by Apple TV+.

He has produced feature-length documentaries for Rough House Pictures and Oscar-winning Tremolo Productions (Morgan Neville’s company). Brett was also longtime Head of Production for legendary comedy outlet The Onion, leading production of its famous viral video comedy series, and has worked as a producer and creative executive for Netflix, truTV, Funny or Die, Team Coco and Above Average.
